So. This is me. I’m a Northern Irish creative with a passion for illustration. Particularly the vector kind. Having cut my teeth for years with Adobe Illustrator in my day job, it’s given me an appreciation of the cleanliness, colourfulness and controllability of vector artwork. When the iPad came along, and specifically Affinity Designer, it brought this environment to my lap, which, after a hard day at work (and two children) is great for picking up and kicking back without being tied to a computer. Some people say ‘why on earth would you be bothered’ and ‘so...Procreate’? But there’s something satisfying about the challenge, accuracy and intricacy of vector art, not to mention you can print it up to the size of building with no loss of resolution... not that I’ve tried.
Couple this to being a self-confessed nerd and sci-fi fan, and presto, Vector Von Doodle was born! All the illustrations on here are my homage to the shows and films I love (with a bit of sport thrown in) and all done on the iPad. This website is devoted to my love of vector, fantasy and sci-fi, with occasional ramblings and interjections on other things I like. Hope you enjoy it.
